In Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council
Unfortunately, many people don't understand the real meaning of chivalry. They believe that a knighthood is just a title, a certificate and medals. They join the order for the wrong reasons, usually, only to feed their egos. They don't understand that the sole reason of this order's existence, besides the preservation of history and legacy, is to be relevant funding The Royal House of Ghassan's cultural and humanitarian projects.
According to our constitution, the failure to perform the order's rights and duties may result in degradation:
"Section 6: Degradation
The Grand Master, by his right and prerogative as Sovereign, as well as on recommendation by the Royal House, Grand Council, Grand Priory, or individual Priors, may remove a member of any ranks or any honors or awards bestowed.
If a member in the Equestrian ranks is delinquent in remitting their annual oblation, the Chancellery may place that person, after notification to the individual and priory of membership, into inactive status. If a member in the Equestrian ranks is delinquent in remitting their annual oblation after two years, the member shall be considered “absent-without-leave” and the Chancellery may strike through that person, after notification to the individual and priory of membership, within the rolls. The member may be restored to active duty if their past oblations are satisfied and on the recommendation of an Officer of the Order (a priory or of the Grand Priory).
If a member in the Equestrian ranks is delinquent in remitting their annual oblation after three years, the member shall be considered a deserter of the Order and the Grand Master may remove the member from the Order and all honors and awards bestowed. If the member seeks to be re-admitted, the Grand Master may matriculate them, but only at the beginning Equestrian rank of Member."
The following individuals were DEGRADED and no longer hold neither the title of "Knight" or "Dame", nor any noble title, nor any appointment under the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan and should immediately return their certificates and medals to the Grand Chancellery. If your name is part of this list, depending on the degradation reason, you still may restore your status by contacting the Grand Chancellery immediately at email@example.com
